James 4:8, “Draw near to God and He will draw near to you.” 

     We must draw near to God if we are going to survive in these last days.  Sheep will always try to stay close to each other so that the wolf can’t get them.  But if they really want to feel safe and know that the wolf can’t touch them, they draw close to the shepard Himself.  You see, we must seek for, find, and stay in His presence.  This is the sure way to remain firm.  If Jesus is present the winds and waves can’t destroy you.  When the wolf comes he won’t find you because you are covered with His pinions and you’re seeking refuge under His wings.  So, we resist the devil by simply submitting to God, and then drawing close to Him.  In other words, the best way to fight the devil is not to fight him at all.  It’s simply staying focused on and in Jesus.  If we are continually seeking after God and maintain our focus on Him, the enemy will have no place in us.  That’s right!  Some people worry about the devil and his realm all the time, but what they don’t know is that by focusing on him they lose sight of God and that’s why they get in trouble.  Some people are always talking about what the devil is doing and they actually wind up worshipping him and his power.  It’s all true.  Take your eyes off him and focus on Jesus.  Don’t take your eyes off Jesus and the enemy won’t have any power over you.  Resist the devil and he will flee.  He flees when you draw close to God because he doesn’t dare come close to God.  So if you want to resist him, just submit to God and draw close to Him.  It’s that simple!                           God Bless,  Rusty
